Biography

A product of Dallas, Julian began playing soccer at a young age. The journey began when he joined The Red Devils of the Oak Cliff Youth Soccer Association. Summer trips to visit his grandparents in Reading, England further nurtured his love for the game. He would go on to play for several of the areas most prestigious clubs including Dallas Titans, Dallas Hornets, Dallas Comets, and Texas Longhorns, working with club coaching royalty such as Keith Hodder, Chas Bradley, Dick Hall, and Schellas Hyndman.

In high school he was a 4-year varsity player under Paul Mott (Dartmouth, Tampa Bay Rowdies) at St. Mark's School of Texas, earning first team All Conference honors twice. He played in 3 Dallas Cups competing with teams from France, Mexico, and Argentina. Selected to play Olympic Development Program, he was a member of the 77/78 Texas state team. Recruited by Elvis Comrie (UConn, USMNT) to play NCAA D1 soccer at Holy Cross in Massachusettes, he started as a freshman, played every field position, scored several goals, and was ranked in the top 10 in assists in New England.

He began coaching club in 2006 when he moved to Los Angeles. He has coached for LAFC (now LA Premier FC / FC Golden State), CZ Elite, Beach FC, DMS11, and Olympiacos SC. He has coached in CSL, SCDSL, and CRL (qualification required). He began coaching high school in 2011, serving as varsity head coach at Lennox Academy, Malibu HS, and Rosemead HS. Voted CIF SS D7 Coach of the Year in 2012/13, he led Lennox Academy to a CIF championship.

He holds a USSF A license.
